The Preede Blinders prevailed 36.5-26.5, led by a 3-0 performance from Danny Marsh.
For the second straight event, the competition was tied after 2 days. But the Blinders went 2-0-1 in the three Saturday matches to win the second Pinehurst Pandemonium. Team Whiskey Business was led by an undefeated Krempl (2-0-1).
Trip highlights:
- Eight of us went down early and played The Cradle to rave reviews Thursday morning.
- Danny played in his first event since 2014 and was the only player to go 3-0 for the weekend. He took home the MVP award with 19 match points won, and was the Poker Point Champion winner.
- Friday afternoon was a glorious day of hanging out in the back yard with pizza, beverages, cornhole, frisbee, hot-tubbing, and music.
- Danny had fun controlling the speaker on Dinora’s hip while in the Tater Barn, playing disco, Baby Shark, and other tunes.
- After a middle-of-the-night bathroom visit, Walt wandered into the wrong bedroom and the wrong bed, entering Preede and Reed’s room. Reed thought he was being visited by the homeowner’s cat.
- Dinora has now won his last 7 events. He’s 9-2 in the 11 events he has attended.
- All 9 matches came to the 18th hole with some points still to be decided.
- Walt cheered hard but his Phillies fell to the Astros in the World Series. He did win a Long Drive and and two Closest to the Pins, including a double-value one on Saturday.
- The weather was fantastic all 3 days.
